XIM University is established under The Xavier University, Odisha Act, 2013, and The Xavier University, Odisha (Amendment) Act, 2021. Xavier Institute of Management

Xavier Institute of Management owes its origin to a “social contract” between the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Jesuit Society in 1987. It is acknowledged internationally as a world-class business school, which provides quality management education and develops future-ready managers with strong ethics and values. XIM University is promoted by XIM society and has grown from the three decades of distinguished existence of XIMB.

XIM not only imparts management education but also implements development projects in collaboration with international agencies and the Government. The Institute creates opportunities for the growth and development of local entrepreneurs, contributes to management research and strives for overall industrial development of the country through various innovative consulting projects. The Board of Governors of the Institute includes representatives of the Jesuit Society, the Government of India, the Government of Odisha, eminent industrialists and educationists.
